NBM Showcases at Brunei Darussalam Maritime Week 2026
NEXT Bahtera Maritime Sdn Bhd (NBM) was honoured to take part in Brunei Darussalam Maritime Week 2026, organised by the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD). The event, held from 6–9 August at Dermaga Diraja, brought together industry leaders, government representatives, and international partners to highlight the growth and future of Brunei’s maritime sector.
NBM joined the Japan Pavilion, mounted by the Embassy of Japan, alongside MOL Energia — the fluid energy transportation division of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines based in Singapore. As a joint venture company with Japanese affiliation, NBM was proud to showcase its initiatives and commitment to strengthening Brunei’s logistics and shipping capabilities.
On 7 August, during the official booth tour led by YB Dato Seri Setia Awang Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications, Ambassador Maeda Kikuta introduced both NBM and MOL Energia’s initiatives to the Minister. This moment underscored the importance of international collaboration in advancing Brunei’s maritime industry and highlighted the role of NBM in supporting regional connectivity and trade.
Participating in Maritime Week allowed NBM to engage with stakeholders, share its vision for reliable and efficient shipping solutions, and strengthen ties with partners across government, banking, and private sectors. It was also an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to supporting Brunei’s long-term economic diversification goals and contributing to the nation’s position as a growing hub for maritime trade.
NBM looks forward to continuing its active involvement in industry events and building stronger partnerships that drive innovation, resilience, and sustainable growth in Brunei’s logistics and shipping sector.
